Cadendo A Pezzi

Short Quick Breaths Try and hold Me together But fail In utter Lack of strength. Massive voids Consume my middle Bigger than me Yet part of Me ‘Can’t Change The Past’ A stupid cliché That mocks my Paper-thin sanity No future Just past And a diminishing Present. My wants turned to Needs And my needs Vanished Just as predicted. Just as preached, By friends and family By past lovers and enemies Those are too, the present Like A Flower That was once fragrant, But now spoiled from Negligence Ignorance And pure selfish nature: My motives Short Dramatic Flashbacks That enhance My failures And faults Give me reasons To blame None other Than Me Myself And I. My mind Attempts to Lighten My load But these Visions Won’t have it As they rip My last shred of Self-comfort From my White knuckled grasp: My Thoughts. Short Jerky Movements Thrust me From pride Unto confessions Of all my faults And shortcomings Uneven bass Line with my heart And amplify my Instability Shoving me to a Splintered Broken Abused Platform Naked And bare In front Of large Mobs Waiting Anticipating The next victim To slander with their Bloody hypocrisy But to their surprise, A match Worthy of their Degrading judgment A creature Worth The worst Damnation As a treat: Me
