With Exasperated timid widraw
I made my way down first and seaside
So much blowing around my mind
The weight of the world pushing me down
Anxiety thrashing me against the earth with every step
Then, without any introduction whatsoever
I saw the woman in the Window
Talking and laughing with as much joy
And innocentness as a new born learning to smile
Her hair,
God her hair
So full of gold and riches, it could sell well
The happy undertones in her smile flew from her lips
Glisening and shining like so many stars in the night sky
The weighter retrieved his tip
His fingers grazed her’s in the exchange
He looked up and glanced around
Almost for a sort of conformation
That this moment was real
The electricity he had felt wasn’t some sort of gimick
And there was such a thing as angels
What I would give to be that man in the restaurant
Feeling her touch for the first time
But I am not, and I won’t be
I am merely the man staring through The Café Window
