The Cage

I’m looking around

I see you walking around

Free

The freedom that you take for granted

I am an animal trapped in a cage

No matter how hard I try I am stuck

I can’t break the bars to my prison

I try and try but to no avail

The wolf is angry

Just as the beast is caged

Their rage, their fury is also trapped

Silently waiting hoping for the day they can be free

To truly know what freedom is

Having a moment to run around

Is ok

But TRUE freedom is what I long for

To be free of this cage once and for all.
