The Cage

This cage.
It traps the girl inside so she cannot escape.
She tries and tries,
banging on the large brass bars,
realizing she’s trapped in.
Sadness eeks in,
she sit down, unsure of how to get out.
She sit there, exhausted.
Sleep is what she wants, but it’s she cannot get.
The floor is cold,
she starts to shiver.
She cannot get free all by herself,
she needs help.
Someone something to make them happy,
get her back to the way she was,
no one comes.
Nothing comes.
She cries when she’s alone.
She puts on a brave face in public,
on the inside she’s dying,
Inside the cage
Slowly, slowly, gone...
