Cage of My Mind

I dreamed I was alive,

Alive with words.

I was buzzing, humming.

My body ached to get them out.

I stared at the white sheet of paper.

I had it all there,

It was all in my head,

And yet,

As the paper sallowed with age,

Out from the cage inside

The words became empty,

There it was.

Silence.
