Caged In

Time fools the mind again Forever have I stayed here Nothing am I but a caged man World full of blind people Not stopping, never looking Attempts to escape are feeble Person I knew fading Memories floating away Like smoke they are disappearing Until the day I’m freed Never caged again I’ll be Or at least that’s what I believed So far away it seems To be for me to reach it The constraining bars ever gleam But the end will come soon Beneath my wing air I’ll put Another star joins the moon The dawn will break that day Darkness fading forever Happiness at last comes my way
