Caged

She was trapped,

trapped in a steel cage,

a cage with no light,

face damp from tears,

body weak from pain,

the girl is scared,

scared and scarred.

She weeps alone,

the cage is cold,

someone unlocks the door to the cage,

too afraid,

the girl hides,

the person leaves,

when will she let someone help?

Life is a steel cage.
