The Call

One year ago early in the morn I received a call that would change everything My best friend had left this rancid Earth To begin his eternal life of serenity Many years ago he had defended us with his life He received the call to protect his beloved country Now he protects us in another life His life full of family and friends Ended far to abrupt Leaving us to cope and mourn Knowing one day we’ll meet again With smiles and tears from the long departure He may be gone But I know I have someone protecting me in the harshest of times With all his power and might God can change everything In matter of seconds He can make the call And exactly one year ago he called my Grandfather To his glorious kingdom and eternal life He ended his sickness and cured his pain R.I.P Pap Don I will see you again someday
