The Call

Well life is what you make it We've heard that all before Never mix that or make it too complicated We’ve got to many friends out here trying to just make it Yes Just make it Not fake it Not to just say they did that and celebrated We've got work to do and no one is going to say it Not just to the mothers Trying to raise her kids to be the what they can Not just to the fathers Looking to be a better man Because see anyone can be what they fear And that's the danger all around us It’s just not so clear When the fog is gone and the clouds are gray When our streets are filled with runaways Where are the fingers that some will point That need to be to work and not passing joints I’m going to need you all to comprehend So grab your cousins, your neighbors, you teachers and all that will No this not a seminar on how to take action But together as movement we can stop the traffic The traffic running in all our minds Manipulating little girls to walk on blind They need answers and are calling for help And our young boys are doing the same as well Where are our kings on mission to find their queens And queens on their missions to bring forth great things Together to bring up their kingdoms So well all can benefit from the same things Are scholars, not our scholars? Are they not cut from the same? Are they any more than you and I? Are we not one Just pushing for a dream Just ask leaders before us Just like you and I they had to go through the door... FOR US Knocking down statistics and negativity Our scholars, our leaders; did it for a reason evidently Now go finish what they didn’t And be a new leader of the day With a new scholar in mind With a new mindset on the line Remember life is what you make I’ve said it once again But don’t be that one Who didn’t make it the end.
