Call Me a Metalhead

Screaming at the top of your lungs
Blasting the speakers all the way up
Every emotion in every song
It's impossible to get enough
Melodies of understanding
Lyrics sing the truth
Music filled with feeling
Screaming towards the roof
They say it's only screaming
They say it's only noise
They laugh at all these bands
But this music saved my life
It's heavy metal and post-hardcore
Society says it's 'emo screamo'
But to me, it's so much more
You could say that I'm a metalhead
You could say that I'm obsessed
But I fit in here with this 'noise'
Without it, I'd probably be dead.
