Call this is speech or call it art

Call this is speech or call it art

Call it a cry for action or a misguided notation of the human condition

Call it a confession, a realization, a plea to everyone

We are killing each other

Take out all of the guns and nuclear weapons in the world, and yet

We are killing each other

Social media connects us with friends, but connects us with bullies

Bullies who hide between a layer of glass and wire

Hundreds and hundreds of online groups, whispering and taunting

"Kill yourself" this person and "We hate" another

To hide behind the tantelizing mark of Times New Roman

To sling insults from typing fingers

To chip away at the integrity of another human being

All in the comfort of accessibility

The potential of a bright future, extinguished by relentless access to social media

Take the tool

Use the tool

Do not kill with the tool

To change the world is to change ourselves.
