A Call to Write!
I write to fill the songs in my head with words
I write so that I can finally be heard.
I write to you, you write to me, we both live to write poetry
And I write to inspire, to show others how easy it can be.
She wrote to keep me out of trouble
He wrote so he could burst my bubble.
They wrote to tell me that I’m their gem
And I wrote back to say I love them.
I write to fight for what is right
I write to find some sort of light
Within this dark world full of delays
I write so that I may never lose my way.
We all write to make a statement
But others write purely for hatred
I write in order to fight such hate,
I write to keep love, compassion, and hope in play.
Will you write with me?
