Callie Cat

We grew up

Together

Me and you

My loyal cat

Everyday

I would come home to school

To see your furry face

Smile with love

Days, turned into weeks

And years

Went by

As we both grew

Soon

You got old and sick

A disease we can't cure

12

You lived two years with this horrible thing

With your highs and lows

Always brave

And always fighting through

And bouncing back

One day

We got a call while on vacation

Our well-loved cat

Had

     Stopped

                 Eating

We kept her alive

For one last goodbye

One final pet

I love you Callie

And I have since birth

You will always

Be in my Heart
