Calluses
I woke up
with calluses on my hands
but the calluses
on my heart
are nothing new
I pushed
and I poked
Tryin to pop
it away
I dont know
what I did
to get this
—callus on my finger
I havent sewn, baked, or
picked cotton
but it looks
like
that is
all I do
It somehow surprises me
how parallel
my heart and my finger are
Callused
With no way to heal
Callused
with no explanation
Calluses
That don’t belong
