The Calm
A soft cool breeze coasted by my brow. The wind only made the silence deepen more. On cool winter days in my town,,there is a serene feeling to life. As the snow falls, life goes by in slow motion, beauty is not even a strong enough word to describe it. As I sat to take it all in, my mind became tangled like a vine around a southern pine. Sitting, waiting, watching, hoping that I could somehow find a way to reverse the effects of the pain and sorrow she had. Retrace my steps to those days of happiness. The calm made me think.. Mesmerized my soul.. Conjured emotions unknown for so long.. A seldom and lonely tear rolled down my cheek.. Alone in the calm, just like me.
