The calm

Watching the cool maritime breeze.

The trees,

whistling and dancing alongside the bustling of the bees.

Flowing yet growing,

just calm but never slowing

In the present, we are everlasting.

We find stillness in our touch, taste, and smell,

but time marks us.

It alienates and disintegrates,

but the grinding of our skin brings us back to life again.

Shallow and vast are the waves as we scream.

Holding onto anything that makes us seem,

free.

Free to float in the serpentine sea.
