Calm In The Chaos

Hurling seas and burning storms,
Gripping loneliness that I've never known...
Starry skies filled with moonless light
And the terror of spending the slow loveless night.
Building kingdoms inside wasted palaces
So full of only dead kings and queens...
Dancers tie little hearts to my calloused hands,
To remind the Gods who rules these missing lands.
The tumult of noise engulfs my shadowy past,
But silence always brings chills to my bones...
Cold sweat falls beneath my bleeding tongue
And pain fills up within my burning lung.
The rushing tomorrow sifts by me,
As I get drenched in my frozen tears,
There's nothing called touch, nothing called smile,
Since I've last known myself, it's been awhile.
The angels now sing funeral songs,
And the red carpet rolls away slowly in time..
Pride and ego embrace my tiny heart,
But when there's no end... there's nowhere to start.
Apologies and flickering smiles,
Are time-bombed into my glaring life,
Rocks and stones, my sated sword and holy water,
I use your words for my own painful slaughter.
Delving in drowned gulfs and seas,
To paint my insatiable dead beautiful soul...
Tiny lives held carelessly in scarred palms,
Truth always hurts but never harms.
So as my words slip down my throat,
And embittered voices sour your stars...
But at this end of the world here I am,
There's calm in my chaos, but no chaos in the same.
