Calm Like the Ocean The sand beneath me calms the storm that’s unseen The water reminds me of the safety found in my dreams Under the waves the storm rages Trying so hard to break to the surface But this is a peaceful place This is a peaceful place With the tide all my stress is dragged away I know i must leave, but I wish I could stay Ironic how we find peace in such a dangerous place Nothing to be seen but the choppy evening waves Yet under the surface the fish swim Never having to worry about the rain Never having to worry about the rain To be like them, so carefree Yet instead of finding peace I drown at sea If only I could breath underwater And stay in the calming effect of the ocean Maybe the storm would never be put in motion Worries would be a thing of the past In the water I would find peace at last
