To calm a raging storm

In shadows she wanders, lost and scared,
Insecurities cloak her, a burden she bares.
Untrusting of compliments, doubting each word,
A heart in fragments, shattered pieces.

But in the quiet echoes of years almost just the same. Done with falling down, just shy of drowning from the rain.
I've seen her strength, conquered her fears.
Her beauty, a radiant glow, shining within,
A radiant soul, too rare to be dimmed. Still just a beautiful after all these years.

I long to be the anchor, in life's tempestuous sea, protect her from the storms that rage angrily.
To hold her close, through every long day, but especially the nights.
To whisper truths, sincere and clear,
Erasing the doubt and clouds of fear.

she deserves love, genuine and true,
To live with passion, where only the skies are blue.
In my arms, sanctuary she'll find,
A haven where trust and love combine.

Let her read these words, and feel just what they say. Random thought but you give me butterflies you have from the very first day.
Not a fan of hiding things I'd put it on display. I'd show the action from every word I say and keep her warm every long cold night. Especially through every new day.
