Calm water

Learned to swim at a young age but I ain’t floating well. It’s like Im paddling through  shit, trying to ignore the smell.  Hanging on to life by thin threads. You know that coat and tail?

Gasping for a breather but I can’t seem to catch no fucking air. My face would be all blue if my skin wasn’t black. Still tryna fight these demons that’s haunting my past, but I ain’t Ali so you know these niggas be reading my jabs no bob and weave my head be heavy so they be beating my ass. DAMN

Running from my life but I ain’t fast enough, to escape from all my vices, they be catching up.

Drowning all my sorrows  just like Moma does

Still add a lil bud just to ease  my nerves.
