Calm Before Your Storm

The beaches have always held a special place in my heart,

for the way the water glistens,

and the way the shells all gather like military soldiers in a line at the shore.

Today, the beach was especially beautiful.

The sea, a perfect translucent shade of blue,

with calm waters, and dolphins leaping out in the distance.

The shells in their typical battalion form, all gathered along the shore.

The sand was soft and squishy beneath my feet, the water touching the top of my feet as I sank into the earth.

The scent of salt and suntan lotion captivated the breeze.

It was a beautiful day.

Though not to my knowledge, looming over the horizon was a storm.

And that storm was given your name.
