Calypso
I am Calypso,
the one who sheltered you
from the cold, the caprices
of the gods. I am the one
who hid you away
and made you godlike,
immortal, perfect —
wanting for nothing.
And yet, you did want.
I gave you home,
but you were searching
for homeland. So I had
to let you leave,
even though I knew
my homeland was you —
I loved you!
And now we’re both so lost.
