Cameron.

They say things happen for a reason,

Only stay for a season.

But I'm tryna see what season you came for.

Though it was fall when you would start to call,

You weren't here to fulfill my needs.

My heart bleeds in agony of wanting you,

Had the impression that you wanted me too.

See I was ready to discover all the traits of this significant other so I could claim him as a lover,

But the lover inside of me couldn't see that he was a user.

A squatter of my innocent heart that opened and poured pools of infinite emotion,

But you weren't slow stroking in it.

Found a gimmick to make you stay but like all good things, it soon faded away.

Tried to patch the hole and sew us together brand new,

You threw the needle, snatched the thread, looked in my eyes and said "I don't love you".

And my soul felt it too.

My whole world felt it too.

Those four words melted through,

And cut through my skin in its blades of truth.

I'm alone now, on my own now, fixing up my face.

All those happy pictures of you slowly get erased.

Love was never welcomed here and that's sad to say the case,

But it's hard for love to live with you if lust is in its place.
