Camoflaged

somewhere

in the simplicity of destiny

you buried your frailty carefully

to conceal your fragile humanity,

and if I’d never seen how readily

your skin succumbs to kisses,

or how your breath shatters

at a well placed whisper,

or even how a delicate touch

can effortlessly break your will,

I’d never know that you

were made to be loved

gently
