Camouflaged Emotions

There is something about me

Everyone wonders what that is

An extremely pretty girl

She makes it hard for some boys to breathe

Skin the shade of chocolate

With eyes the color of chestnut,

And medium length hair on my shoulders

Could it be my smile?

What about my laugh?

To me it’s all fake

It’s all just a shield

My smile is frowning

My laughs are sobs

My happiness is always desolate

Put a mirror to my soul and look closely into it.

Tell me what you see.

Things so ugly, it’s hard for me to breathe.

I’m so dead inside

The further you look; you’ll see nothing but darkness.

Everyone loves my shield

They say they love me

I don’t believe them at all

I choose what I want people to see

My emotions are all fake!
