campfire
in god we trust
can that be enough
i wanna tell you im proud of you
the ways you battled
and the ways you grew
i’m proud of your independence
you let go of your dependants
you cut off your own arms
to save yourself
sinking ships
you held on
there wasn’t enough room for me
i can’t be mad
with the way you grieve
i’m proud that you swam to shore
that you realized there was so much more
then the anger of your mother
the arrogance of your brother
in god i trust
i’ll let that be enough
for now.
