Can I?

Can I?

Can I love you

and still let you go?

It feels so wrong.

Like if I'm not still hanging

on to every word that's no

longer meant for me,

then I don't love you

and never did.

Can I?

Can I free myself

while still keeping

our sweet

memories tucked

safely between the

sanctuary of my

ribs, where no

one else will

dare to reach?

Can I?
