Can I Still Be Your Beloved?
I want to pound my head into the floor.
I want to pound my lips into yours.
I want you to cut me open-
See my raw, blistered heart
And hold it in your hands.
I want to be enough to clear your airways.
I want to be better than the drugs you use to slow your pulse.
I'll devour every word you ever say
If you promise to do the same.
Because, darling, I want you in every way.
