Can it be love?

Can this be what I know it can be?

Can it be what I have always been afraid of?

Can it be love?

When I’m with you,

My heart races with great intensity.

When I’m with you,

My body tingles with excitement.

When I’m with you,

My mind is in a peaceful resting place.

When I’m without you,

My heart slows to a raging stop.

When I’m without you,

My body yearns to be close to you.

When I’m without you,

My mind never stops.

Can this be what I know it can be?

Can it be what I have always been afraid of?

Can it be love?
