Can We Go Back?

I want to go back to the days

where school was as easy as writing your name

or where everything you learned seemed to be so important

I wanted to be a big kid more than anything.

But now I am a big kid

And it's hard to find light in the little things

Because I know things are never going to be easy again,

like trying to catch the snow in your warm hands.

Can we go back?

To the days where the nights were long and the days so short, fun

Back to innosence and coloring during school, interest in the children's eyes

Not constant lectures and deadness inside.

Now it seems like life has flipped upside down

And I struggle to fight not to drown in life's current while it just keeps

going.

You made me smile at the melancholy-ness of it all. I have lectures and long days and shittons of homework but I marvel at the little things. The little things are so goddamned amazing. They jump out at me all day. I am constantly being surprised by my world that I live everyday. Keep your head up.
