Can you?
Can you hear the silence?
Can you taste the tears?
Can you see the dark?
Can you mend the wounded?
Can you feel their heart?
Can you make things better?
Can you bring the light?
Can you give the blinded sight?
Can you help the helpless?
You might not be able to,
But you can try to find your spark.
All it takes is for you to change,
And you can change others.
And then the World.

Hi! I am a senior at a small high school in Alabama. I began writing poetry when I took an online class in 10th grade and I loved it. So, I just kept writing until this day. Poetry really is an important part of me now. It helps me put my thoughts on paper and put it out there in the world. It has helped me through bad times and good ones! My dream is to write and publish a poetry book for everyone in the world. I try to write my poems in a way that makes you think, everyone can relate to, and feel within their hearts and minds.
