Cancer

My name is Cancer and I am a killer

I stand tall like a pillar

And I will make your abnormal cells divide

And make you cry until your eyes are dry

It doesn't matter if you're young or you're old

It doesn't matter if you live in the warmth or in the cold

What does matter is if you live or if you die

Are you ready to say goodbye

To the ones that you love

I’m not easy to speak of

I can push, thrust and shove

you down until you can’t get back up

Because of me, you’ll have to fight

Everything will get worse at night

New things will come in to sight

When you realize you might not have time left

Some people call it time theft

Because I steal the time you could have with family

Like it’s supposed to be

But you cant be because

It’s too late

I have to kill you, I can’t wait

I mean look at your weight

Chemo makes you shrink

while your heart may sink

When you realize you won’t be at your daughter’s graduation

You think maybe its a misinterpretation or a miscommunication

When your doctor tells you you’re going to die

But he’s right to the point, he's not shy
