Cancer
I can see the death in her eyes, it’s surely coming, the will to fight is there, he’s darkening the skies, she slows down, she stops running, the pain is major, vital organs are now in danger, and them white blood cells that once fought so hard-become strangers, her eyes are getting yellow, the liver is failing, them sweet salty tears that were once flowing, are now hailing, her once beautiful skin, is now scaling, better say your goodbyes before you run out of time, you’ll be left with regret, last thoughts you can’t forget, long sleepless nights, cold sweats, stress that’ll kill ya, she’s slipping, she can’t even walk, unresponsive but she smiles when i talk, I hold her hand, tears flow down my face, I can’t understand, I guess this is life, should I pull it together or go get the knife, I think twice, with me gone my kids won’t have a life, I tell her if she hears blink twice, I give her a kiss and tell her goodnight, you did your best mom, go ahead you can give up the fight
