Cancer

Cancer;

Is a dark entity.

It seeps into our skin like the blood in our veins.

It streaks across the ocean at the speed of light.

Traveling city by city.

Bringing destruction with it.

Cancer;

Hits like the bomb on Pearl Harbor.

Striking through the heart in every child.

Every mother.

Every father.

Every human, that suffers.

But we fight the fear,

Fight the will,

To die.

Then, the clock chimes,

Life stops,

And life we know, is gone.

But we'll get back up,

Keep on fighting,

And win against the light of Heaven.

If Cancer's definition were to be,

The extensive pain inside of thee,

Then we all have Cancer.

So, why do we fight alone?

I am only a freshman, but I too, see the problems in our society.

Why do people fight cancer alone, when they shouldn't have too?

I created this to help and let people know that they are not alone if they have cancer.

I personally do not, but I wanted to spread awareness.
