The Candle
The candle whittles in the darkness,
slicing through the demons who lurk in the unknown.
It gives a glimpse into the past, present and future.
It serves as a watchful guardian who gives us peace.
Without it, we would perish into our atrocious nightmares,
engulfing us before we can gasp or last breath.
