The Candle

I smell you from miles away

The sweet smell of the bay

The place where I wish I could stay

In the graceful great month of May

You smell of sweet and savior fruit

The kind to make you feel mute

You may be acute

But you will always feel as big as a root

You sit next to me everyday

I always look your way

If only one day I will light you to display

But I don’t want to waste your precious sorbet

Your reddish tint

Makes me feel as cold as mint

But when I look at you everyday

I can still smell you miles away.
