Candle

Candle
You represent the coldest and the warmest feeling.
Blanca gave you to me, but I won’t burn you.
Your three wicks are still intact after 3 years.

The promise you came with makes me strong.
She said to only light you when I’ve hit rock bottom.
When I couldn’t do it any longer. Well? I haven’t lit you. I may
Have gone through some terrible things but I did not light you.

I imagine lighting you with the fire dancing with joy to its own beat.
Elegant glow of a house decoration or praise of a saint.

You may be warm, but you haunt me with your coolness.
