Candles

Candles on a shore of black, lights flicker on stone white faces
Not seas of corpses are they, but a sea of mourners
The ones left behind, left to cry on wet sandy shores
This is where silent tears are heard
Where the only sound is moans and wails
Here is where I am, where my friends life did end
On that fateful day where part of my heart was torn out and thrown away
