Candy Under Her Pillow

How did she land in this rejected space?

This inquiry clung to her, violently.

Yet, the taste of her lips and soft embrace.

For now, she would have to sit silently.

The ones most valued wouldn’t understand.

A world of hate had found its next victim.

Despite the rainbows, this was no fairyland.

Just a group of “sinners” painted as scum.

Too bad for them, she was stuck in her ways.

Touched by a love some never see light of.

She’d just have to go on counting the days.

Until their passion could be like a dove.

A true emblem of tenderness and joy.

     Something Cosmos itself couldn’t destroy!
