Cannibalism
Cannibalism
Life is a difficult pass,
A trial, a tribulation, a punishment,
and many simply cannot last,
so I remain here to lament
At age fifthteen, at grade ten,
My friend was being broken,
Their parents abusive,
The cops and adults less than inquisitive,
Me and my other friends came together,
we set out to help her,
So we conspired in the hall,
Some might have declared we had some gall,
The cops were called,
they did nothing,
The Adults at school were told,
they did nothing,
Finally we admitted defeat,
but the attention did bring a revalation,
Our friend and her family soon left town,
Where she lives now is small and rundown,
She says she is better, and has good friends,
and we promised her we'd be there till the end,
The moral here is a simple one,
It may seem blatantly obvious to some,
You can't count on society to help someone,
That is for you and your friends to have done.
