Can't Breathe

When it all becomes too much- the stress, the eyes, the expectations- I am overwhelmed. I can't breathe. Drowning on dry air. Pressure from every corner presses on my soul. I can feel it, compressing my stomach, into little fiberglass shards. Breathe. All I need to do is breathe. There is a new day tomorrow, a new dawn tomorrow, and in this moment, all I can do is breathe and know that everything is going to work out. Eventually.
