Can't Bring It Back

When I first saw you something strange was born in me

A strange feeling blossoming

A spark was ignited

Something new, something unique

Something about you made me go crazy

And fall deeply in love with you

Those were the best days of my life

You and I

You made me feel loved, confident

You made all my worries and anguishes go away

My insecurities washed away

But I've should of known that you would throw it all away

Just like if I was nothing,

Like we were nothing

I should of never trusted you

A mistake I've made more than once

We were just fading away

Becoming a distant memory

And now you're gone

I wonder if you really cared

I wonder if you were really there when I needed you the most

In my darkest of days

Out of love, or out of obligation?

Did I mean anything to you?

Were those late night calls for nothing?

Were they pointless without meaning?

Were we pointless and meaningless?

So many thoughts circling my head

Day after day

Wondering if you really cared

If I was of any importance to you

If I was ever important to you

I gave you all of me

You were the one

The one for me

The one I loved like never before

You were not like the other girls

There was something different about you

And I should of turned away

I knew you were poison

But I knew you were the one

It hurt like hell

I couldn't believe it

I was shocked

I was mad

I was confused

I was filled with regret

I was filled with despair

So many mixed emtions I couldn't comprehend

I cried and stared at the wall all night

Thinking, wondering

What went wrong?

Was it my fault?

Was this for nothing?

Was I nothing?

Did you really care?

What did I do wrong?

Why? Why? Why?

Desperate I became

Seeking an answer

An answer that wasn't there

No matter how hard I looked

Cuz all I saw was the blank stare in your eyes that said it all

You've moved on with someone new

I was too late to save you

To keep you as mine

You fell from my grip

And just like that, you were gone

In a blink of an eye

The thing I cared most about

Gone, and there was no going back

I need to move on but you won't let me go

No matter how hard I try

I can't get you out of my mind

Everywhere I go

Everything I see

Reminds me of you

And all of those painful memories

I need to forget you

I need to move on

Forget that it's over

Put it all in the past

I put a fake smile to pretend I'm okay

When in fact I'm broken

And it's such a shame

It kills me to see that you have moved on

I wish I could go back to when we had it all

There, that precise moment, I would stop time

When your lips were agaisnt mine

In that split second

An infinite amout of happiness

But to know that it would be the last time

Where you be safe in my arms

The thought of you kills me

I wish we've never met

But you brought joyful memories

Ones that I would never take back

As long as time goes on

Just know that I'll be there for you

Even if you're not there for me

Time may go on and I'll never stop loving you

Wish you could say the same

But let's stop playing these same old games

You never wanted my heart

And oh it's such a shame

To think of the idea of you and me again
