Can't Help But Wonder

Can’t help but wonder

How’d you get over there

My feet melded into the ground

Why isn’t yours?

I’m the same as you

And you’re the same as me

Right?

So why are we treated differently

I’m worth one penny

When you’re worth one thousand

Both dirt poor

But why are you better off then?

Tell me please

What makes you better than me?
