can't IMagine Life Without

I know someday I will
Someday she will be gone
But I can not imagine
Life without my dog.

Her happiness to see me
Shows in every bark and wag
Content to just be with me
Her loyalty never lags.

There is never any judgement
No demands, or expectations
Something as simple as a walk
Brings levels of elations.

I don't have to prove myself
or show how much I care.
She's happy just to be with me
Happy walkiing anywhere

Never any pressure
To be anything other than myself
The depth of a pet's love
Is an immeasurable wealth.

So while I know nothing is forever
My time with her I cherish
My first pet. My first friend
The best times with her I spend.
