Can't Live

There aren't many things

I could live without.

There is one thing however,

That I'd miss without a doubt.

I doubt beyond doubt that

I'd be able to live without

A friend to talk to

For treasured friends give my life purpose.

Throughout life, abandoned island or not

Friends make an impact

An impact that I've sought.

I'd think I'd be okay

On an island by the sea

If all I had was a friend

Sitting there with me.
