Can't live without my books

Books? What’s the impact in that?

Books are just words on paper

Those words come to life through the layer

Those words jump out the paper

Those words play like a movie in my head

Can’t live without my books

Books? What’s the impact in that?

Books are just words on paper

Those words are an escape from life’s curses

Those words take me into different universes

Those words are eternally read

Can’t live without my books

Books? What’s the impact in that?

Books are just words on paper

That paper has sensation

That paper has texture creation

That paper has a force of its own

Can’t live without my books

Books? What the impact in that?

Books are just words on paper

That paper has meaning

That paper has thoughts gleaning

That paper has an impact known

Can’t live without my books

Books? What’s what the impact in that?

Books are just words on paper

A character dies

I cry

Books have power to bring out that kind of emotion

Can’t live without my books

Books? What’s the impact in that?

Books are just words on paper

To get a book and free the characters from their cages

To feel my fingers flip between my pages

My prized possessions cared with such devotion

Can’t live without my books!
