can't pick a side

pain is superficial created by the mind felt the most when with the heart it's aligned Your conscience leaving footsteps on its way to the soul Taking the world in piece by piece instead of as a whole trying to digest this enigma many call life While being struck down by this constant strife Moving forward becoming harder than the day before Made it through but can't seem to close the door A reality left behind, a new one on the brink of destruction Being heavily weighed down by a constant seduction Failure, used to not be an option, but now it stands alone Hiding the tears, for they shall never be shown Countless dreams of running from an inevitable fate Love may be strong but not far behind lies hate Slowly consuming what little love left inside Traversing back and forth, can't pick a side
