Can't you see he's tired

Can’t  you see he’s tired?

Tired of all the hate?

They tell him it’s because he’s weird

And this is just his fate

Can’t you see he’s tired?

Tired of all the names?

They tell him it’s because he’s stupid

And now he has to live with the shame

Can’t you see he’s tired?

Tired of all the mean looks?

They tell him it’s because he’s a geek

And his head is always in a book.

Can’t you see he’s tired?

Tired of faking a smile?

They tell him to stop being depressed.

And it’s just a phase he will have for a while.

Can’t you see he’s tired?

Tired of controlling his anger?

They say that he needs to stop isolating himself

And they don’t know they are in great danger

Can’t you see he’s tired?

Tired of waiting for the right time.

They say that’s he’s gotten darker

And they don’t know he’s about to commit a crime

Can’t you see he’s tired?

Tired of the voices in his head?

They say that he is freakishly scary

And they don’t know they’ll all soon be dead

Can’t you see he’s tired?

Tired of them breaking a rule.

They say they don’t know why he snapped.

And  why he shot up a school.

Can’t you see he’s tired?

Tired of people being cruel and never ceasing it seems

They say that he is a monster

But they don’t know he once was a boy with a dream
