C.A.P.A.T.A.L.I.S.M

C.A.P.A.T.A.L.I.S.M

By: Jaelyn Joe’el Gipson

Money, money, money

That’s all they want from me

Money grows in factories

They aren’t produced in trees

The Trees, the trees, the trees

That’s where I want to be

We are trapped in a 9 to 5

When will we all be free

The System, system, system

IN-VIS-IBLE chains

I am a maid

You are a maid

Cuz “we are all the same”

Training, Training, Training

They train us like we’re dogs

You see it in our classrooms

They start when we are small

The System, system, system

The one we “can not break”

Was starting off in nature free

Just all one big mistake?
