A CAPITAL C WITHIN A STAR

A Capital C Within A Star......

This is for you

who’ve crossed the bar,

and for those who have gone

to the great beyond,

we are all gathered here

on this significant occasion,

to salute you,

to remember you,

in honouring the times

that have passed on by,

where some of you

went out in a blaze of glory,

where some of you

were larger than life,

where some of you

were of a special breed,

and some of you

were known simply as chef,

but most of all

of those who went afore

each blazed a path

in times of yore,

for those who came to be

later in life

in claiming that great prize

of a capital c within a star,

so, to you I dip me lid

for those who’ve crossed the bar…...
